COVID-19 Response

Mendocino Foods, Inc., like most businesses and individuals, is adjusting to the reality of the Coronavirus Pandemic. For once, being a very small business is more advantageous than being one of our much, much larger competitors. For example, we are able to limit access to our facility to our family members only, not having to rely upon the differing hygiene practices of employees. Also, we are able to easily restrict and monitor access because our kitchen, warehouse, and shipping are in the same building.
In addition to our inherent operational advantages, we are and have been responding to the threat by:
Limiting Access to Kitchen – Raw material suppliers, USPS, UPS, etc. are met outside the facility.
Continuing Operational Cleanliness – Continued Good Manufacturing Practices are documented and diligently followed, including the practice of disinfecting common touch points (door knobs, etc.) daily. In a recent 3rd party inspection, we scored 910/1000.
N95 Respirator Masks - N95 respirator masks are worn before, during, and after production.
With the support of our customers, we will continue making Mendocino Mustard for another 43 years. Thank you for supporting our family-run business and for supporting small batch, artisanal mustard making in this time of uncertainty.
